Personality:

"I may be all smiles on the outside, but I'm actually pretty sensitive. And pessimistic. ...Oh, and I cry at the drop of a hat. Whenever a girl turns me down, I'm a complete mess for days."

On the outside, Inigo is outgoing, overconfident, carefree, and flirtatious beyond belief. He's always seen hitting on girls, and when he's not doing that, he's usually talking about hitting on girls. Or just talking about girls in general. Persistent about it as well, he hardly takes "no" as an answer, which is especially seen in his supports with Kjelle and Severa. In the case of Kjelle, he goes as far as to accept her challenge of defeating her in a spar in order to snag a date. Even after what Kjelle states had been thirty spars (all consisting of him losing and/or getting hit in the face with a sword), he still insists on pursuing her. Naturally, his tenacious and overt advances rarely actually work out for him, and most of the time he either ends up getting slapped or kneed in the groin. Also, while it may not pertain to romance, his intrusiveness knows no bounds even when it comes to his male comrades. Without even asking first he simply takes Gerome's mask off. He snatches Owain's journal away from him at one point as well, looking through its drawings and reading its contents aloud right in front of its fuming owner.

Likewise, he acts carelessly a lot of the time. For instance, in Noire's supports it's mentioned that he's not all that careful about whom he flirts with. While he may scout for girls who don't seem likely to reject him (which he sucks at, by the way), he clearly doesn't keep an eye out for ones who may be malicious. He has attempted to get involved with thieves and even arsonists, which clearly didn't bode well at all. Meanwhile in Lucina's supports (assuming she's his sister), he suggests using Falchion, a sword that is inherited down the royal family, to kill a bug, and actually uses it himself to cut an apple. When she mentions the prospect of him actually wielding the honorable blade for what it is, he just entirely blows off the meaning of it by essentially saying how cool it would look to the ladies. When it comes down to it, it's always about girls, really.

...Or so it seems, anyway. There's actually far more to Inigo than that, and we learn that he is actually extremely delicate emotionally and even insecure. Considering how he's balls at lying, this isn't particularly a secret, either. Most of his cocky nature is a front, and he can really be a total wuss. He screams whenever Noire, Minerva, or even a bug is attacking him. He starts sobbing when Gerome -- who was supposed to be his wingman -- ended up getting the attention of every girl they approached. He gets jealous when Cynthia receives gifts from girls. And on a deeper level, he's always afraid of each battle being his last, or of him losing his loved ones and being alone. In the latter case, he just doesn't even want to think about it. When Lucina brings up the fact that he should test whether or not he could use Falchion in case she dies, he just completely explodes on her and throws a tantrum. He states that if it means her dying, he'd rather not have anything to do with the sword. And if she tries making him, he'll just go back to using it to chop up apples. Even when he returns to Lucina to reconcile over his reaction and to give wielding Falchion a shot, he lies and makes it appear as though he's incapable of doing so. He would just rather not associate himself with such thoughts at all, and would rather focus on more positive and fun ones. This is shown especially in the Hot Spring scramble, assuming the male avatar is his father. It's revealed that Inigo has a knack for collecting souvenirs whenever he visits nice places, as mementos to remember lighthearted fun times despite being in dark ones. Happiness is important to him, essentially, but it also does not necessarily have to be for himself. A lot of the reason he is so persistent with Kjelle is simply because he wants to see her smile, and the same could be said for everyone. After coming to the past from such a hopeless future, he just wants his loved ones to be happy. And safe, considering how he's willing to risk his own life to protect them.

This is also backed up by his support dialogue with his father. His father accuses him of being careless and only caring about women, which Inigo promptly refutes with a story showing quite the opposite. In the future he had constantly been fighting against Risen and doing his best to protect people, to the point where many people actually depended on him and saw him as strong. Because of their dependence, he began hiding all his pain and injuries (emotional or physical) to keep up that invincible appearance. Despite his parents being dead and him seeing others dying as well, he couldn't complain or show any weaknesses. Just smiles. This trait carries on even into in-game events, as he shrugs off his physical injuries (until being pestered about them) and even his emotional ones. When his father harps on him for not being driven as Lucina and instead simply careless, he just responds with a lecture of how he is indeed driven after all! ...Just when it comes to girls. By the end of that support though, it's clear that Inigo knows just what his father had been getting at, and feels as though he is soft on others but doesn't hesitate to throw punches at him. Between this and the fact that he is constantly turned down by girls, this could also lead into the fact that Inigo is not used to praise -- only rejection. And he tells Olivia as much. He gets flustered whenever she praises him, and extremely happy and overjoyed when his father mentions how proud he is of him, and how proud he is of him and how he is also there for him.

This then leads into the point that Inigo is actually incredibly shy. His flirting actually stem from this fact. He has always been really shy, and when he was younger, he actually approached Olivia about this fact since he wanted to learn to become more comfortable around people. Essentially, she told him to just talk to girls more and it would happen. Aaaand it sure did help a lot, but it also did evolve into a flirtatious habit. That's not to say that he's ashamed of it or anything though; in fact, he finds that if he wants to help people with dancing, he needs to become alluring -- and flirting is the way to go with that! So as ridiculous as the advice seems, he's thankful for it.

His shyness isn't the only thing he takes after his mother though. Like Olivia, Inigo also has a passion for fashion dancing; however, he's entirely embarrassed by it. He often sneaks out in the middle of the night (alone like the incautious dunce he is, of course) to practice. If anyone catches him doing it or brings it up, he becomes totally flustered, which happens a lot -- and also proves that he's not stealthy at all. When it comes to his dancing, he's extremely insecure. Besides his freaking out, whenever it's brought up, he generally talks down on himself, saying how awful he is at it and just completely belittling his abilities. It's not warranted self-deprecation at all, either. Olivia tells him how those who have brought it up to her said his dancing is breathtaking. Minerva loves watching it, and even Gerome says it's pretty decent. Even so, however, he continues to be shy about it, especially when a particular dance isn't perfected yet. In his supports with Olivia, it's revealed that he didn't want her to not see him dancing because he was embarrassed by it like the others. Instead, he had just been working on perfecting a dance to surprise her with. In reality, he actually does want her to watch him and give her input and critique. In his time/the future, he even danced by her grave all the time, imagining what she'd tell him to do.

On the bright side, however, he is at least responsible when it comes to properly taking the blame about things that are his fault. When his father apologizes to him for his insensitive words (re: carelessness and Lucina being more driven), Inigo just flat out tells him it's partially his own fault. And then he goes as far as to try cheering his father up and making him smile. Likewise, when Gerome apologizes for Minerva biting him, Inigo says it's his fault for getting her all riled up. He even wanted to apologize to her for it. And finally, when a plan he goes through with alongside Morgan fails miserably, he tells his comrade that, again, it had partially been his fault since he was supposed to help yet didn't do anything. So at least he knows when he must really own up to his actions -- or lack thereof.

Special Abilities: Overall, Inigo is well-versed in battle. Depending on his class, he can use a variety of weapons such as swords or axes, but he prefers the former and is better with it anyway.

How did your character die? In a fight against some thieves that attacked him while he was dancing alone at night like a dunce.

Other: As a side note, I'll be playing him as Olivia and Chrom's son! And also as the avatar being female/Morgan being male. Now on a less serious note:

Ah, yes. The afterlife.

Not… exactly the place Inigo had been anticipating to be in before jumping into the final battle, but here he is anyway. It’s not quite what he had imagined the afterlife would be like either, and the architecture is rather odd, to say the least. In fact, the atmosphere is entirely different from what he’s used to. Needless to say, it’s a lot to adapt to, as if getting used to the fact that he’s dead isn’t enough already—which, by the way, is taking quite a big toll on him as is. Normally Inigo’s fairly good at keeping up his smiles and bravado, but being alone in a place like this makes his façade much more difficult to work with. This whole time he had been worried about Olivia, Chrom, Lucina, or anyone else in his family or friend network taken away from him by death, but ironically, it seems as though he is the one who has died. And even then he’s alone.

On top of it all, there’s also the fact that he doesn’t remember his death at all. One moment he’s walking around and socializing, and the next he’s waking up in a purgatory filled with NPCs he keeps pathetically hitting on. It’s bewildering, really—not knowing how he died. But the worst part of it all is that he has no idea how the others are doing. With his memories clouding at a certain point, there’s no way of knowing what had happened to them. If they’re not here, then they obviously didn’t die, right? They… must have defeated Grima! Yeah! That must be the case.

Or so he hopes, anyway.

And then of course, Inigo catches himself musing about this all out in the open. Anyone passing by must see his moping face, but that’s not right at all! Oh no, they can’t see that. Especially not when there are so many beautiful ladies around. And so he springs up from his seat underneath a shaded tree and approaches a nearby girl who seemed to be in a hurry to a nearby building.

“My, my. Aren’t you looking lovely today? Would you mind telling me why you’re in a hu—“

Inigo! You weren’t in class earlier! And you’re going to be late for your next one. Now come on, let’s hurry up and get there before it starts.”

Without a beat, the girl turns away from him and continues her march.

Was that another NPC? Godsdammit, it was another NPC. It’s always an NPC. Sigh.
